Good news of the day

Well, some know, some don't... my mom has been working at a job for the last few months. The position has been a temporary position and was coming to an end far earlier than it was supposed to. So, she applied when it came available, full time permanent. She did the test and scored a meer... 98%!!! And was of course told that she did very well. But as it is a union job, she had to be interviewed and then wait. She was preparing her heart for either decision but... today she was told, She got it! Thank you God!

So, Congrats Mom, you've worked hard and definitely deserve this! I am so proud of you!

Yahhh, right!!!!

You Are a Tree

You love every part of the holidays, down to the candy canes and stockings. And you're goofy enough to put a Christmas tree ornament on your tree!

You Are an Angel

A truly giving soul, you understand the spirit of Christmas.

Absolutely unbelievable! I am a mom of kids now, no more babies! So exciting! 2 more years and they will all be in school. I don't know what I will do with myself! well, we had a little party for Joel in the day time and then had family over in the evening. Quite a nice day. Here are some pictures to share in the day!

Frog cake. Joel wanted a froggy birthday.
Helping daddy blow up balloons
Joel and Daddy. Adam wanted them both showing off their fake tattoos. Joel tried but you can't see it.

Pin the tail on the donkey
No bad hey?
Joel opening a gift that Joshua had wrapped up for him. It was a bunch of stuff from Joshua's room. So sweet. He sure loves his brother.

Motorcycles, one of his favourite things in the world.
Superheros!
The Lightning McQueen from Tristan.

Family. Love it!

First Frosty of the year

Here are a few pics of the first snowman of the year. The kids did it completely by themselves! And then Chee Chee knocked it down when it was done but it was great while it stood. Especially since there was really only 1-2 inches of snow, they did awesome! They even managed to put the eyes and buttons on and chose what they would be made out of too. Pretty cute, hey?!

Finishing touches
They were very proud!
And there he is! Sorry, they told me it really is a she. Cute! Enjoying the snow, the cold and everything else that is "winter"!

One Hot Mama!!!

So, tonight was a night of great friends and fellowship. A few girls got together and in amongst conversations of all kinds we talked about our favourite songs. When I said mine, no one knew what it was so I said I would put it on the blog. This is my all time favourite secular song. There are many songs I like but this one I blast around the house when I am cleaning and try to talk myself into believing what it says is the way it is. ha ha.
So here's to you Gwen! It is definitely worth taking off your block but don't watch it with kids in the room as there is a couple short scenes that kids might not have interest in. But not too steamy for us mature ones.

Have a great night all!

It truly is the most wonderful time of the Year!!!

Here I go, Christmas decorating! I love it. Got to be one of my favourite things ever! We don't do a Christmas tree but we have the best ever nativity set to put up. I am so excited to do it but Adam needs to be here for that as we read the kids the Christmas story and then set up the nativity. I love that! So, tomorrow night over popcorn and relaxation, we will do it, the whole family. Hope all of you are having a lovely day!

The wedding

Well, my seat wasn't great for picture taking but you will see what I saw.
Here is Michelle, lovely as ever coming down the isle first. She was met by Thomas at the end and they stood together. Then there was the couple that Nathan had standing for him also. Then Moriah and her and Nathan's best man stood across from each other. She was nick named, Chief maid. I am not sure who was the first to say it but the MC joked about it every time he talked to her in the reception and just called her "chief". It was funny.

Michelle
Nathan waiting for his bride.
Hen and her daddy-o walking down to meet her husband to be. She was radiant and lovely!
Hen, saying her vows. Beautiful vows.
The kiss, it was kind of hidden from me but it was long enough I probably could have ran over to check it out. Ha ha.
The giving away process, a little out of order.
The band, Mike, Adam, Sonja, and a couple others playing worship and Hen and Nathan, front church, worshipping.
Prayer over the bride and groom.
Heading out, wedded and happy. It was very very lovely and I am so thankful to have been able to be there and witness it as a friend to Hen and a friend to be for Nathan, kind of whether he likes it or not. Hopefully he wouldn't be apposed.

Blogger not taking pictures.

Well, I was planning on posting all the pics of the wedding but the rest won't post. I have tried a couple times so below is the reception and then tonight I will try to do the wedding ones. I didn't get many good pics because of where my seat was but you can get the idea, it was BEAUTIFUL!

Reception

Clara with the coffee, tea, and Juice. What pretty containers for the juice, glass. I got to sit with Clara and her hubby so that was awesome! We have not got to catch up in a long while.
Great company!
My supper
And dessert. YUM!!!
Hen and her big sis Clara.
And 4 of the best looking ladies on earth
Hen's neice and her. Cute! Lisa's oldest.
I am not sure why this picture makes me look as if I am almost ready to give birth but none the less, I love it. Henny changed obviously for the reception and wore this dress that Nathan's grandma got her. Beautiful!
They showed a video of pics from their lives, so neat to see.
The wreaths Henny made for center peices and then told anyone to take them home so I have one to put on my door! Love it! Great memory. It was a wonderful and God centered wedding and I know the marriage will be the same. Henny was beautiful, Nathan excited, everyone happy and thankful. What a great wedding to have witnessed. I wish then God's joy and Love throughout their lives together!
