Joel

Joel, my youngest blessing, just turned 6!!! I can't believe how the time goes by. 10 years and I will be celebrating his 16th and just 10 years ago I had no children and was still just planning my wedding. 10 years sure doesn't feel like it used to.

Anyway, about Joel, he is one of the coolest dudes I have ever met. I love him to bits! He was blessed and blessed and felt like a million bucks yesterday!!! Can't believe he is 6. This year should be grand. I love to see all the new things he loves, how he learns more and more everyday and how God becomes a more important and "real" part of his life. He is a blessing to many and his smile just lights up a room. He laughs often and cuddles much. I have always called him "Joely my little monkey" and he still loves it. Well, may God bless him with many more years of joy and laughter.

By the way Adam is NOT even reading that book ------> !!! We really need to update this thing more often!!!!

Memories to be marked in the calendar of life

"And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” Joshua 24:15, NKJV

Our wonderful first son, Joshua, August 8, 2010, made it known before men what he believes in his heart. I can honestly say that he did not do it for Adam and I or friends or relatives but only for his God. He knows the importance of baptism and was SURE that he was ready to do it. I told him that he should go and talk to our pastor to be sure that he also felt Joshua understood well enough. Our pastor was impressed by his heart in this matter and made sure Joshua was aware of all the reasons we do this act and why Jesus asks us to do it.

Joshua said, out loud in front of many that he wants to walk with Jesus his whole life and that Jesus can be the "boss" of his life. He is Lord of my boy! This is one of the most exciting days I have ever had as a mom. The days that each one of my children separately told me that they were ready to let Jesus come into there lives was so great but this day, the day it was declared before many men and woman, without hesitation or fear, this day was amazing! It will be marked in my mind as one to be remembered.

My sister and her hubby made a wonderful meal of fresh fish and chips to celebrate all together the excitement of this day.

I pray that Joshua will be kept pure and sold out to the one who is Lord of all, Jesus Christ. That this passion he has now will never waver and that God will be glorified in all Joshua's life.

Wedding!!!

I took a long time the other night just loading a million and one photos here to honour my sister's wonderful day, the day she married Blaine, my new and wonderful, but also always has been, brother!!! I loved being a part of watching this relationship that has truly stood the test of time and prevailed, become a comitted marriage that I pray will last many more ups and downs and come out strong through the years.

I had the great honour of being the matron of honour and I tried my hardest, from a distance to be as much support as I could to my wonderful sister who has always been one of my closest friends. I don't believe we have ever had a "falling out" and we have travelled together, laughed together and had so many bonding times in the past 30 years!!! I am so thankful to have her and Blaine in my life. I am so thankful our family is so close as well and that my sisters and my mom are not just relatives but my closest friends.

Virginia and Blaine, thank you so much for allowing me to be in such a honoured position for your day! I love you both.

The pictures go backwards and these are only some from the ceremony. I will do a few from the reception some other day. What a gorgeous wedding and a wonderful celebration!!!!

Oh yeah, and just take a look at Adam's face in this top one. We are not sure what was so very sad but this makes me laugh everytime I see it! I love you Adam!
