Memories to be marked in the calendar of life

"And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” Joshua 24:15, NKJV

Our wonderful first son, Joshua, August 8, 2010, made it known before men what he believes in his heart. I can honestly say that he did not do it for Adam and I or friends or relatives but only for his God. He knows the importance of baptism and was SURE that he was ready to do it. I told him that he should go and talk to our pastor to be sure that he also felt Joshua understood well enough. Our pastor was impressed by his heart in this matter and made sure Joshua was aware of all the reasons we do this act and why Jesus asks us to do it.

Joshua said, out loud in front of many that he wants to walk with Jesus his whole life and that Jesus can be the "boss" of his life. He is Lord of my boy! This is one of the most exciting days I have ever had as a mom. The days that each one of my children separately told me that they were ready to let Jesus come into there lives was so great but this day, the day it was declared before many men and woman, without hesitation or fear, this day was amazing! It will be marked in my mind as one to be remembered.

My sister and her hubby made a wonderful meal of fresh fish and chips to celebrate all together the excitement of this day.

I pray that Joshua will be kept pure and sold out to the one who is Lord of all, Jesus Christ. That this passion he has now will never waver and that God will be glorified in all Joshua's life.
