Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith developes perserverance.

Therefore lift your drooping hands and strengthen your weak knees, and make straight paths for your feet so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but may be healed.

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day - and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

I was really encouraged by this part in the book I am reading and thought that I would share it with whomever happens upon our page. God Bless you all!

Look at those pearly whites!!! Posted by Picasa

Here is Joel just starting to learn to colour.  Posted by Picasa
Things are going well. All done with the chicken pox and everyone is healthy. Joel is getting a bunch of teeth. He finally got his first one on Sept 8th, 2 days after he started walking! I am extremely tired and day dream of sleeping as Joel is hardly sleeping at night. Can't wait till teething slows down. I was shocked that he walked so early but it is sure a blessing as he is much happier to just toddle around with Joshua and Annabelle during the day. It is so fun just to watch them all playing together. I love it.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23:6

Well, here it is. Charlene's first fish, a spawned out pink salmon. Posted by Picasa

Family went out to Whitebottom bridge so Charlene could get her first fish. Here's Annabelle, cute as ever. Posted by Picasa
Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering: (for he is faithful that promised). Hebrews 10:23, KJV

When you bow down before the Lord and admit your dependence on him, he will lift you up and give you honor. James 4:10, NLT

Joshua and I took the Tim Horton's bus to Prince Rupert today. Joined the group which went from 9am until 3:30pm. What a nice day with my son. I find it hard to believe he's only 3 and a half as he's so smart and listens so well. We went and saw a cruise ship and had lunch in Rupert. I will post more pics in a day or too when I get copies from my co-worker as my camera batteries went dead. Posted by Picasa

My brother, Mark, gave me this old trout reel from the 60's for a late birthday present. The price tag on it says $1.79. I thought how awesome but it'll be years till i can get everything to be using it. I went fishing with my friend Todd the next day and found 20' of sink tip someone snagged on rocks at Ferry Island. I broke this up into 3, 6 and 9' sink tips. The next day after that I had a cheque in the mail from my natural father, Dennis, for my birthday. I used it to get a 9'- 5 weight Berkley rod, and floating line. Caught my first fish with it on the 8th, a spawned out pink salmon at Herman's Hole. Man what fun!! Super sensitive rod. Posted by Picasa

What a great outing with the family. We treated ourselves to A&W Chubby Chicken deal and went out until 8pm. My big boy, Joshua, has my fish in the garbage bag. He always helps out.  Posted by Picasa

My beautiful kids come close to see my second fish caught that day. 15" Dolly. I was hoping Charlene would catch her first fish but not yet.  Posted by Picasa

My first fish caught on Eagle rod (left to me from my dad) and Ambassador reel (from Rod, brother-in-law)!!! Caught this 16.5" Dollie on the Copper River on September 4th. Good thing I didn't catch anything with my friend, Todd, so I was motivated to head back later in the day with my family. Posted by Picasa
Well, the kids are on the mend now. I can't wait to be done with chicken pox and I am so glad it only happens once in a lifetime! The kids have not been sick at all, just so so itchy!
I had to miss church on Sunday because the kids are still contagious, so Adam went alone. He said that it was great and he brought me home a cd of the message which I hope to get to hearing today. Our good friends Starla and Lawrence announced at church also that they are having another baby. They have one little boy the same age as Annabelle and Star has been wanting another one for a while and waiting on her husband to be ready. I guess he is ready :) Thank God for such wonderful miracles! I pray for a great pregnancy for Starla with no complications.
Our little Joel took 3 steps all on his own the other day! I was so excited and Adam was here to see it, too. He will be 10 months old on Sept. 19, so he seems to be pretty early. It begins such a fun part of life.
Well, just thought that I would update everyone on our personal life.
The kids got daddy a little box for his birthday called Bread of Life. It is packed with little cards with scriptures on each. Each time I post I will leave a scripture, kindof a scripture of the day. As I pulled out the one for today I pray it blesses someone or everyone who read it.

Remain faithful even when facing death, and I will give you the crown of life. Revelations 2:10

There is the fish. Adam was really proud of this one. Posted by Picasa

Adam and his first sockeye salmon, I wasn't there but he said that it was absolutely beautiful! He of course had to let it go as the seasom for sockeye ended Aug. 31. Too bad- we have never tasted sockeye before. Posted by Picasa
