Our night out at Ferry island when we saw the bear and had to leave after being there only 15 minutes. The kids were playing in the sand and Adam was fishing. I felt like I should go and check on the kids so I was standing there watching and taking pics. I looked up and there was the bear about 10 feet from Joshua, just sitting there! Then he got up and started walking. I would have got a pic but I was trying to get the kids further away from the bear and closer to Adam as quickly as possible. It was not huge but big enough to do major damage to a child. Adam and I packed up quick and got the kids home... especially because we had to walk through the bush to get back to the van and it was pretty dark at this point. Had it been Adam and me alone, I probably wouldn't have minded but you know... it is a little different when there are kids involved!

How do you get all the pictures posted little together? (of course great pics BTW!)
This can only be done through Picasa. It is a picture uploading program that kind of goes together with Hello. We only used these two programs for the longest time and then Christy told me about just using blogger. There are ups and downs to both. One down to doing it through Picasa is you can't put them into one post, each pic is a seperate post. Nice so people can comment on an indevidual pic but not as tidy looking... not one for Scott. hahaha. Anyway, if you want Picasa and need help getting it then let me know but I think that there is a download link right on the blogger page. There is an option to make a collage and you just select the pics you want and thenhit the collage button and it makes it for you. I like it, especially when there are not really any great pics but I wanna make a post with pics like this one.
