You guys are such an outdoorsy family!!! We're taking our boys fishing tomorrow. I showed my husband what you caught and he was thoroughly impressed. Was it caught on the Copper???

Hi Jenny,
It's my first steelhead so it's nice to know it's good enough to impressive the experienced fishermen. Yes it was caught on the Copper. Down the trail, just off the highway bridge.

It is kind of funny that you say we are outdoorsy, I never thought that people would say that about us, but it has become true. When Adam and I first met, he didn't like rain, snow, sun and would rather spend his summer days in a cool basement playing video games or watching TV. Then... almost 2 years ago... he discovered FISHING!!! and now loves the outdoors. I have always been outdoorsy but with the kids it can sometimes be a bit more of a struggle to get out. It is fun and great for kids. I am SO thankful that Adam found this sport that can encourage the whole family to get out more. Do you and your boys fish a lot in the summer?

I grew up in Kitimat. I spent the majority of my youth on the river fishing and at the lake camping. We now take the boys to do both. Scott grew up in the East Kootenays so his fishing was way different than what we do up North. He grew up fishing as well, so it's sort of something we can do as a family.
