I've been enjoying Christian history lately. The story of John Newton, who influenced William Wilberforce, is one of my favorites. He was so bad during his slave trading days he was known at "The Great Blasphemer". Before his death at 82, his memory failing him he told his friends, " My memory is nearly gone; but I remember two things; That I am a great sinner, and that Christ is a great Saviour."
