Checking out the train on the milenium trail. On the inside I have heard there are a pile of little model trains and stuff. Next time they have it for people to go and look I am hoping Joshua and Adam can go. It would be great for them as Joshua loves model trains! Posted by Picasa

Hoping You're a Fellow-Citizen!

Ephesians Chapter 2. And you did he make alive, when ye were dead through your trespasses and sins, wherein ye once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the powers of the air, of the spirit that now worketh in the sons of disobedience; among whom we also all once lived in the lust of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest: - but God, being rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace have ye been saved), and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places, in Christ Jesus: that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus: for by grace have ye been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not of works, that no man should glory. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God afore prepared that we should walk in them.Wherefore remember, that once ye, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called Circumcision, in the flesh, made by hands; that ye were at that time separate from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of the promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus ye that once were far off are made nigh in the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who made both one, and brake down the middle wall of partition, having abolished in the flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; that he might create in himself of the two one new man, so making peace; and might reconcile them both in one body unto God through the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: and he came and preached peace to you that were far off, and peace to them that were nigh:for through him we both have our access in one Spirit unto the Father. So then ye are no more strangers and sojourners, but ye are fellow-citizens with the saints, and of the household of God, being built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the chief corner stone; in whom each several building, fitly framed together, groweth into a holy temple in the Lord; in whom ye also are builded together for a habitation of God in the Spirit.

Riverboat days 2006!!!

Well, what a jam packed, fun filled day! It is riverboat days here in town and boy oh boy does that ever bring back fun memories. Camping, parades, fireworks, but my most favourite memory was the one year that they handed out moose hats and my sister, my best friend Jen, and I started a great childhood club called Moose Troop which would consume our days and all out imagination for years after. I love riverboat days. Well, it is not great that Adam had to work but we made the best of what we had anyway.
Henny, my very good friend who has become more like a sister to me over the years, came to my house at around 10am. We planned to go to the pancake breaky at the Happy Gang Center! YUM!!! So, we packed up the kids and walked down there. It was a nice little walk and we went in to pay and get our food. They turned our business away as they had run out of food!!! So we thought we should get foos anyway as none of us had had any breakfast yet, so off we went to the Artful Cup, a great little coffee shop right on the main drag of town and coincidently in the prime location to watch the parade, smack dab in the middle of it all. So we went in and got muffins, cinnamon buns, water and coffee and went to sit on the curb. Everything started just after and went awesome. It was a nice parade and the kids got lots of candy. Afterward the plan was to go to the motocross and watch. Very cool!!! On our way there we ran into some old friends, Bekki and Cavelle and Bek's son Isaiah. Bek is getting married and came with her fiance. Great to meet him. On a side note, Joshua and Isaiah used to be best friends but now don't remember each other, how sad! Anyway, great to see them, the motocross went awesome, then we went to McDonalds for lunch, saw a bit more of the motor bikes and headed home. Brendan got picked up shortly after, my Grandpa and Uncle came for coffee, Henny headed home to bed, and then we packed up all the kids to go to the fireworks.
I love the fireworks, why you may ask??? Because at the fireworks for Riverboat days 7 years ago, I fell in love with my awesome hubby. I realized that he was the man of my dreams and I knew that God had brought us together to spend the rest of our lives together. It was our very first date! So I love to take our children there as they are the outcome of all the falling in love.
It was a great day, fun as can be! Thank God for great friends and all the joy he fills our days and hearts with! Hoping that all your long weekends are going great!

Annabelle waiting at the coffee shop for our coffees. She was being so patient!

I just love this pic. I think it looks like it belongs in a magazine of some sort. hehe. The kids were great and even stayed seated most of the parade so other people could see.

Just another good shot

Muffin from the Artful Cup. Pineapple and Coconut. DELICIOUS!!!

Me and the kids waiting for the parade to start.

I just added a few of the kid's very favourite floats. This was one. Joshua was figuring out what all the letters and numbers were.

All of them loved this one! Pretty cool paint jobs!

Joel, proud of his candy. Henny took care of him and Annabelle and I took care of Joshua and Brendan for the parade. I think I got the easier of the two jobs. haha but all the kids were great.

Joshua loved the big horses.

Annabelle, politely clapping for something, can't remember what

My very great friends Henny, Christy, and Ruth. What beautiful people I know. We had nice fellowship over a McDonalds meal. I stood in the line for probably close to 15 minutes to get the meal! It was worth it though to have lunch with my friends. We could watch the motocross from outside McDonalds, too. Added bonus!!!

The big kid showing the little kids how it is done :) Chris was helping the boys make their new Hummers go. Great fun for Chris!!!

Just outside the motocross. It was awesome!!!

Denist... NO CAVITIES!!!!

OKay, This is Brendan, the boy I have been babysitting. He was great while I was in and out of the dentist rooms with the kids. It was kind of strange this time as the kids are used to a woman coming to get them and then the dentist coming in. I guess they have a new dentist who does both jobs, hygenist and dentist. I was a little confused! haha Any way, Joshua went in first, took a little time to warm up to the man but was fine after and did great. I was really proud of how both the kids acted but the main thing I felt was that I was so greatful for the opportunity to go to the dentist. When Adam and I started having children it was one of my main concerns. I wanted to be able take my kids for regular check ups and not have to worry. It didn't seem as if it would be possible. I was amazed at God's provision in our lives, (as I always am) when Adam got a regular full time possition at work which intitled us to benefits. Sometimes I feel like we are poor and don't have enough but that is so untrue and definately the enemy trying to make me doubt God's goodness. We never are in real lack and always have our needs taken care of. I really felt overwhelmed by God's goodness today. This is the kids 3rd dentist appointment and everytime, no cavities and the kids behave great. They LOVE the dentist. God is good!!!
Joel was making Joshua and Annabelle jelouse with his banana as they couldn't eat.

Polishing teeth

I missed Joshua's floride treatment because the dentist was so fast. What a wonderful boy

Proudly showing off his pearly whites... NO CAVITIES. And they put their name in a draw for something too when they have no cavities so that was exciting for them.
Joel can't wait for his turn at the dentist!!!

Just getting ready

Polishing teeth.

Floride treatment, lovingly called "duck lips". Annabelle's first time. She did pretty well. Over all she was awesome, just gaged a bit on the floride tray, completely out of her control.

Sparkly clean smile and NO CAVITIES!!!

Park after the dentist

Meant to get a better pic but the batteries died in the camera. They had a blast! But we had to leave because Joel was misbehaving... he is our main struggle these days. Talk about a strong will!!!

Brendan and Joshua are best friends and play together awesome. I am really glad that I took on this babysitting job.

The end of the pics I couldn't load yesterday

She just fits right in with the princesses hey?

Every night at bed time, Adam says Joel's and Annabelle's prayers with them in Annabelle's bed and then tucks Joel in to his crib. Last night he was on the phone with his grandfather so I was putting them to bed. They are so used to doing bed time the same way. It was so cute when Joel just crawls right up there after Belle. So, I ran to get the camera. Then, While I was at it I took a whack of pics of Annabelle because I am absolutely amazed by her beauty! I had just done her hair in braids after their shower and she was so pretty. So here are a few cutie pics for all to see.

Fishing, Friends and Fun!

After lunch out with our friends from church we decided we were going to go fishing. Tanya and Jason weren't busy and wanted to do something so we thought it would be fun to go out fishing all together. It really was! The kids had a blast and were disgustingly dirty by the time we left! Adam had the camera and only took a few pics and these were the best of them. This is at the white bottom bridge. It is neat becasue you can look off the bridge and see all the fish swimming in the water. We were sure that we would catch something but... no luck this time. Jason had a bite though. I had a great time! It is always fun to fish when we have great company!

This is all us girls. I guess the boys were on the bridge.

Jason, Tanya's hubby. That is Rowyn behind him. Can't see his head. He will be one great fisherman one day. He never tired of casting. What a great kid he is!
