Fun at the park

Bernadette and Rod said that the park equipment was really dangerous here so we went to another area where it is just a big field with some trails and stuff. The kids LOVED playing with all the balls here. It was a great night for all!

Rod- almost never ending energy for the kids!

Alex and Eric got these balls for their birthdays... you should have seen their excitement at the store when Berna picked them out. It was so funny! "BALL! BALL! BALL!" They were too excited to contain it.

SO handsome!

Waterpark... tons of fun!

Bernadette trying to get Alex used to the water at the water park. It was so warm but there was a thunder storm this night and a huge rainbow. We left before the storm got going much.
Joel discovered how to use the "key" to get the water to turn on. When no one plays for a while it turns off and any one can put their hand on this and the water turns on. Kinda neat. Joel went over and did this about every 2 minutes. Cutie!

Joel waiting for the spout to spray up. He would stomp and stomp on the water.

Bernadette and Eric, just before bed the last night we were there. I said my goodnights and went back to mom's house for the night.

Left bright and early in the morning, 6:20am. It was a great visit and I loved to be able to celebrate the boys birthdays with Rod and Bernadette. What a blessing to see all the kids playing together. So, I headed home and there was a lot of road construction. The kids slept till about 10:30 and we were really close to Prince George by then so we had lunch around PG. It was sooo hot! About 33 degrees and I was worried about the kids getting hot so when we left PG I just kept handing them drinks and we drove and drove. I had borrowed a DVD player from a friend which came in really handy for this part of the trip. But, after the movie, Joel fell asleep and slept till just after Smithers. When he woke up he threw up so much I could hardly believe it. We stopped at a near by lake and I cleaned him off and let the kids go for a dip. I left them in their wet clothes for the rest of the drive home and then I took Joel to the hospital when I got home because he had a bad fever. The doc said the even though he had drinks and was not in the direct sun, because of his size, he couldn't tolerate the heat and got mild heat stroke and to keep him hydrated. I felt so bad but he was better by the next evening. God is good. He kept us safe for the drive, the trip and healed Joel's body quickly. I loved to have the chance to go. Adam's brother Mark let Adam borrow his car for the whole week for work. That was a HUGE blessing too. Without a vehicle for work, I wouldn't have been able to go at all. THanks Bernadette, Rod, and Mom for a great holiday, lots of fun, and even tolerating a little craziness from the kids. haha. And thanks Mark and Jen for trusting Adam with the car! Adam sure got in some good fishing time! Successful holidays are always something to thank God for!

Face To Face by King James

Here are the words to the audio link just below. They share some of my hope and assurance that I will see my father, Wayne Brown, again in heaven. The bible is my comfort in times of trouble and this song contains a few scriptures. Perhaps you recognize them. If you don't know any of the bible many people recommend starting with the book of John. (one of my favorites)

I remember all the good times
How we laughed
I treasure the memories- inside my heart

Did you know your time was through
Why did it have to be so sudden
And it hurts me to be apart

(Pre-chorus)
You were my friend
And it comforts me to know
This is not the end

(Chorus)
I will always love you
Your memory will not fade away
We will be re-united on that glorious day

I thought I heard a familiar voice
I turned around but you weren't there
Must have been the sound of the wind

My vision's clouded now
I only see a poor reflection
But when morning comes
I'll see your face again

(Repeat pre-chorus)

(Repeat chorus)

Now we know in part
But then we'll know even as we are known
I will prepare a place
And you will be with me where I am

(Repeat chorus)

I will always love you
Your memory will live in my heart
We will be re-united
Face to face

And you were my friend
I will see you again
He will take us to a better place
We'll be there face to face

After the hard trail to the log jam (devil's clubs) we went and fished a little at the CN bridge. It was nice to hang out with the family. I was so proud of my mother, Louise. I think there was a lot of family healing done today. May God continue to heal and uplift my family. Posted by Picasa

Hard to believe it's been a year without dad. It might seem silly to some but doing things like this helps remind me that it's reality and that I really won't see dad again until heaven. If you look you may be able to make out the names of dad's 11 grandchildren. Posted by Picasa

Mark hung up the paddle. It was dad's oar and had been carved with all of his grandkids' names.  Posted by Picasa

Here's the motley crew, Mom, Mark, Jenny, Caitlin, Stephanie, Gina and Aaron on the start of our hour long walk down the CN rail to the bridge. We wore bells and made much noise to ensure we didn't surprise any bears. Posted by Picasa

Some of the family headed out to the CN bridge on the Lakelse River to hang up a wooden paddle. It has been a year since my father, Wayne Brown, passed away just above the CN bridge. Posted by Picasa

One year has passed

The rest of the princess pics. Enjoy!!!

Annabelle looking like a true princess. My very good friend, Clara bought this beautiful dress for Belle so I thought that it would be perfect for her party. It is not really a dress-up thing but it was so princessy I let her wear it. What a gorgeous girl.

Henny and Annabelle. On Annabelle's actual birthday, July 8th, Henny took her to her house for her first sleep over . They watched Beauty and the beast and painted Annabelle's nails and then came to church in the morning. I feel so blessed to have such a great friend. I consider her a sister.

The boys. Joel took care of Emma's baby Annabel the whole party. So cute. This is where they ate.

My plan was to have a tea party. I made punch though and we had peanut butter and Jelly sandwiches, then cookies and chocolate macaroons, then the cake, which was cupcakes. I think that I have decided that cupcakes work much better than cake. It is tidier and easier and just as yummy!!!

Playing at the start of the party.

Joshua taking care of his girl. What a blessing she has in her brothers.

Everyone having their cake. Belle, Sarah, Levi (Sarah's brother), and Emma.

Sarah arrived a little late so the other girls had their sandwiches just before she got there. It was okay though and then she just joined in as soon as she arrived.

My mom got these for Belle and she LOVES them!!! Joshua loved them so much too that Mom told me she would send money for him to get some, too. They will have a blast learning together. I can't wait!

She loves Dora and loves backpacks so this was awesome. And that is a cute dress with a matching hair tie. This was from Sarah and Levi. Awesome!

Sirena made this little tutu for Annabelle for dress-up. How cute. It is from Emma. Thanks so much Sirena!

Meg posing with Belle. She got a purse, pretty dress-up shoes, hair ties and clips, and dress-up jewlery.

Just ready to play the game behind her. It is like pin the tail on the donkey but I guess it would be stick the purse on the girl. Emma won the game and got the prize. It was princess tatoos.

Sarah had to leave the party early but Meg, Belle, and Emma watched Cinderella and they were enjoying it so much.

Showing off her new shoes- for dress up of course. What a beauty!

Emma and her baby, Annabel.

Joshua wanted to be the King... no princess never even crossed his mind :) He was so proud.

The gift Adam and I got Annabelle. The Cinderella movie. It is so cute.

Princess party start.

This is only the very start of the princess party pics but blogger won't let me post any more pics right now and I am ultra frustrated. I will post more tonight.
Annabelle and Emma, I was disturbing their Cinderella movie, hence the look on Annabelle's face.

Here are the pics I was taking, trying to get a good one of both of Megan and Annabelle, Megan was into making faces and after each pic she would laugh and laugh!
