What a cute dog, hey?

Thought I would post this cute picture of my lovely dog, Chee Chee. He is pretty cool now that he doesn't go #2 all over the house anymore!
So, I haven't been updating much lately because I have been a little down. There is a lot going on in our life. Some good, some scary. But God is taking care of us in the midst of it all.
My bro in law, Andrew mentioned that I have not said the outcome of Adam's health and he was wondering how he is. So am I! We have been waiting 2 months for a CT scan and we will be waiting quite a while longer since the hospital hasn't called for the appointment yet. It is a very hard wait. Adam is feeling fine though as he is on some anti inflammatories that he has been on for a month now. They are causing the inflammation to go so that there is not pain but we still have no idea what is causing the inflammation or if it is gone. So, we wait. Will update if we find anything out. Praying that the inflammation being gone is healing the problem that started it and that the CT will show nothing!
Other than that, a girlfriend of mine posted Psalm 23 on her blog and I was greatly blessed by it. So I thought that I would post it also. Those who know what else is going on in our life, maybe be praying. Thanks.

Psalm 23
The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
He leads me beside quiet waters,
He restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

You may want to just phone the hospital and "remind" them. I know 2 pople that have become (not dealthly) sick and had a CT scan within 2 weeks. May be something to check into? Good luck all the same!

Hey Jaclyn,
I agree, and called and was brushed off and told it will be at least 2 more months till we get a call. Then called my doc and he said that there is only one tech in town so they are taking the more serious first. Because we have no idea if Adam's is serious, I guess we wait. When Adam runs out of medication, if the pain comes back then we will assume something is more serious. For now, it is just a guessing game. I will be continuing to try to get in. Thanks for your concern.

My dad had to be admitted into the hospital before they considered him to be "serious" enough to do a ctscan. (His doctor didn't think he was a priority!) The only way he was admitted into the hospital was by letter to the Health Unit and with the MLA on board.
When he got to Vancouver he was told that he should have been in Vancouver(minimum) 2 weeks prior and it would have stopped the paralysis and then not been such a tricky surgery...etc etc. Would it have changed the outcome...who's to know...I don't think that way...
My point is that demand for your medical rights!! Never go by assumptions...unfortunately we learned the hard way!!

Thanks so much Jenny for caring enough to post that good advice and share. If you are ever tempted to think differently about the past and different outcomes read Psalm 139. It is full of comfort for me when I think of my dad who passed away. God bless sister.
