Virginia and Joel, just hanging out

It has been a busy weekend. My mom came to visit from Fort St John and we had Turkey dinner here at our house on Sunday night as my mom had to leave town Monday morning. It was really nice! My mom, Grandpa, Uncle Lloyd, sister Virginia, and her boyfriend Blaine came. It was really great!
We had a ladies surprise party for my mom on Saturday night. She was very surprised. I loved it! It was a real blessing for her! There were songs for her and lots and lots of prayers. We ate and ate and visited. It has been so long since she got to visit all her friends from here so it was really nice!

Monday night we went to Adam's brother David and his wife's house for supper. It was wonderful as always and we got lots of fellowship time with them. Mark and Jennifer were there with their family but Mark had to leave early to go to work. It was a great time. Adam's mom couldn't make it though because she was sick. We are hoping to see her tonight.

Well, that is pretty much the way our thanksgiving weekend went. We had a blast.
Oh yeah, and Adam had a great morning of fishing Monday morning. Didn't catch anything that he would keep but had lots of action and came home happy as ever. Caught 4 coho (spawning), 2 trout (just undersize), and 2 white fish (really too boney to do much with). He was satisfied with that.

This was just before we got to David and Kristi's house for dinner. You can imagine how crabby they were when we had to wake them!

The kids all having fun on Thanksgiving. I was sent downstairs to try to calm them down. I told them not to through the giant balls around because someone could get hurt. They informed me that they are allowed to through them as long as it is okay with the person being thrown at. Okee dokee then. I told them not to hurt each other too bad then.

Things are great these days. Though the kids got a little sniffle cold, I have learned well from my hubby to teach them to "not receive it". I was so thankful to God that the colds seemed to pass quite quickly and besides ear infections for Joel, no one got badly sick, and I never caught it! Thank you Jesus!!! It is always much easier to deal with these things when I am not sick.

Adam and I have been practising our guitare and are not sounding too bad if I do say so myself :) Adam is really quick at changing chords but I am extremely slow and feeling a little discouraged. But Adam is also being very encouraging and I am almost able to play worship music and kind of worship a little, it is just really choppy. We have borrowed a DVD called Paul Baloche, God of Wonders Video Songbook. It shows how to play the song off the God of Wonders CD and the songs are great. Adam has been practising with that.

As Thanksgiving approaches, I am very thankful for my wonderful mother in whom I have cherished my whole life. She is coming here to Terrace from Fort St John for the weekend and I just can't wait to see her. She will be here tomorrow night. I love her so much.

Adam's brother Mark and sister-in-law Jennifer are finally settled in their own place now. They got a bunch of furniture from various places and already their home feels warm and inviting. Their daughter Stephanie and our other niece Gena are both taking up guitare also and have got junior guitares to start learning. Adam has been showing them a little of what he knows so far. It should be fun.

My beautiful sister, Virginia with Joel. Virginia and Blaine, her boyfriend, just moved back to town from Saskatewan. I am so happy to have them back here. 

Getting cold out but not too cold to enjoy some see-sawing at the library. Notice all the leaves. Terrace is always beautiful with all the rich colors in fall.  

The family went down to the mall. The kids had a great time on the car ride What an awesome day off, a few fish in the morning fishing with a good buddy and hanging out with my family in the afternoon.
