You can imagine this is one of Adam's very favourite parts of the carnival. He took a turn with each of the kids, fishing for coloured chips in fish mouths. Depending on the colour of chip inside you win a stuffed toy of that size. Annabelle won a medium and large toy... not really large but that is what they call it, and the boys each won a small teddy bear. Cool for kids because everytime you play, you win! 

Besides the cold, we were blessed to have a pretty nice evening for our family outing. Looks like the rain was coming though! 

 

Thanks to Adam, we remembered to grab some cotton candy on our way home... great treat for everyone after such a fun evening! 

A day out with kids!!!

Okay, about 2 weeks ago Adam was going out fishing for the day with a friend so I decided to take the kids to the lake. It was a beautiful day! We got to the lake and it was closed for construction! So I had to figure something out. I had heard that Ferry Island, a camp ground near the river, had put in a nice playground and there are always little ponds and such around so I took the kids there. We played at the park for a while and then thought that we would walk down to the water. We started on our walk and I looked behind and recognized 2 kids behind us. I finally stopped and walked back to see if it was who I thought and sure enough it was. Tanya, a new friend, fellow blogger, and her kids were right behind us. So we walked along together and had a great time!!! This is an enormous amount of pics of out day. I thought that there were just too many cute ones to pass up!!!

What an adventure!

When I was a kid I loved salamanders. I learned this day how much I have lost my adventurous attitude... these things looked disgusting and there is no way I would pack one around now! But the kids sure loved the whole ordeal!



I was really nervous that Joel would squish them to death but all salamanders and children came out alive and well.



Syd picked up almost every rock inthe whole area to see if there were any salamanders and she found enough for us. Tanya and I just wandered around looking at each discovery... very interesting :)

This was cute, Rowin got sad and tired out so Syd picked him up and packed him for a while. So cute because he is almost as big as Syd but that is what big sisters do. I loved it!

Fishing day out with Daddy

Joshua loves the fishing times with Daddy. So glad that Adam has gotten into fishing, it so good for him and the kids!

Just as proud of these fish as Daddy was!!! This was Easter weekend. I think actually it was Tuesday. Adam got an extra day off because of how his scheduled days off landed. What a blessing!

New fishing buddys!!!

Adam just started fishing with Mark and Mike. I love that fishing has given him such an easy way to keep up on his friendships. This was a couple weeks ago and only mike came home with anyfish. They had a great time though.
