Shaboing!!!

I set up a screen house my buddy, Todd, gave me the other night so I wouldn't have to worry about moisture. As soon as the mold started getting extremely hot (mold hard to hang on to) I noticed they were coming out like store bought weights!!! As God is my witness, I will never go weight hungry again!!!
My first time melting lead. I was pushing it as there were dark clouds overhead and moisture and molds do not mix. I made 10 weights and they all absolutely sucked!! Lots of wrinkles all through. I know appearance doesn't count for much with fishing weights but still I was hoping for better.
On a side note: please notice the tasty looking fence started behind me thanks to Roy Beckley of Beckley Built Homes!!

The Wild Bird

We were sitting in the living room the other night with the kids, watching a movie. All of a sudden something hit the window and Adam said it was a bird. So he headed outside to see if it was okay as the kids peered out through the window. It was so cute. They were very concerned. Adam picked up the bird after seeing it was only stunned.

Beautiful hey? And the kids checked it out and pet it.

Then it sat in Adam's hand for close to an hour before it started flying around our house and Adam had to put it outside.
It was great to see it fly away. So nice it was only stunned!
I couldn't help but think about this idea while all this was going on with the bird.

Sometimes life seems great and then I start getting overwhelmed. I just don't know how much more I can take and then BANG! It is like I hit the glass, nothing left to give and nothing left to say. And a hand comes down, a strong yet gentle hand and it picks me out of the dirt. And I sit and rest, no fear. I know I am in good hands and that nothing is going to hurt me now. And the hand stays open so when I am ready, I can fly again. And He lets me fly. And then He is always there to hold me again. What a wonderful God we serve!

Walk Down Memory Lane

I was singing this around the kids and they asked me what I was singing which lead me to check it out on Youtube. I had to say to the kids, "Boy, she's really enjoying her bubble bath hey?" Ha ha.
(Might I add, I was only singing the chorus!!)

Come on sunshine!!!!

Take Me To Your Lead-er

I am so stoked about melting some lead but the weather has not been cooperative. On my way to buy a propane torch, snips, wax and Pam for lead melting supplies!!!!
It was funny to hear lead mentioned in the Song of Moses on my way to work. (Referring to Pharaoh's army sinking like lead)

Another lovely day at the river

Annabelle's first fish ever! She was so proud. It was about a 12 inch cutthroat trout! The kids all shared it with their cousins for supper the next night and loved it!
Here's an oldie but a goodie! Joshua with his first fish. Almost the same size and it was a cutthroat too! So cute. He was only 2 and a half.Annabelle with her fishes tiny heart. The kids always love to hold the heart after the fish are cleaned. They keep beating for a while after they are taken out of the fish. But this one wasn't beating, she just wanted it anyway.
This looks like it might be a humpy. Not sure though. There will be more and more humpies around soon. Gets mighty stinky on the riverbanks by September.
Andrew fishing on one of his last days of his holiday before heading back home to a whole new life of being a husband soon. So long bachelorhood. God bless you Andrew! We love you!

On a Tupperware note...

I am going to put it all up on there and if there are a couple people who are interested in having another blog party to take in these sale I will definitely be into that. The sales are on for 2 weeks so even if you see them and want to do a party at your home there is plenty of time to throw one together. Let me know! Even if you happen to live in Kitimat, I would love to come and do a party!

On the topic of blessings...

The kitchen set sold with all the extras for the price I listed it for! Yippee!!! And who to? To the Christian school to be used in their brand new preschool just starting up this fall. I am so glad it went to this! And now I can get our basement clean and lovely. What a wonderful feeling.

They That Weight on the Lord.....

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHH YYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
Guess who just stopped paying a lot for fishing weights??!! Instead of $3-5 a piece they will now cost me about 3 to 5 cents.
I ordered this melter due to THIS pretty cool Youtube video.
The day after praying about whether or not to buy this melter a guy came up to me at Ferry Island and showed me some weights he had made himself. We talked and I got lots of info on how to do it and what I would need. I've had so many "coincidences" like this to know they are not coincidences. God is faithful!!
My brothers, David and Mark, bought me this huge pile of wheel weights from Fountain Tire for $60. With this 300 lb. I should be able to make about 600 8 ounce weights!!!! Thanks bros!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As excited as this boy is, he'll have to wait a LONG time to help daddy out as melting lead isn't the best recreation for youngins!!!

Little People

The Little People are officially SOLD!!! Thanks for all your interest everyone! I know it is going to go to good use.

The kitchen is still as for sale as it was 3 days ago! Feel free to buy it!

A couple cuties!

I was babysitting today and the little girl I take care of got here in a matching dress to Annabelle's. So of course Annabelle ran to change so they would be matching. Then they did their makeup and put on perfume and had a full out tea party. They also hardly let go of their matching baby ponies all day. What a blessing to have a great girlfriend around often to share in the joys of being a girl!

The Kitchen

Here are the pictures of the kitchen set. It is a Step 2 kitchen bought from Sears less than a year ago and cost $300.00. It is hard for me to even think of getting rid of this thing because it was my childhood dream to have something like this. Me and my sisters would have died for this! But alas, I realize the dream was started with 3 little girls and it happens to be that I have 2 boys. They have now lost interest and Annabelle only really plays with her tea sets. I discussed the whole thing with them and they agreed that they will not be using this anymore. So, we gathered everything together to get it ready for the pictures. Here they go. If this doesn't sell in a week I will be putting it in the Bargain Hunter but I thought that I would give you all a chance first. We are asking $175.00 for it all.

The kitchen is as if it were brand new. It is in beautiful condition.

This is the only mark on the kitchen. The picture is turned wrong though. This is on the bottom of the fridge which is the large door on the right side of the kitchen. It is red ball point pen and is about 3-4 inches long.
Another view. The little light works above the sink and is battery operated. All the drawers and cupboards slide out or open for storage of kitchen stuff.
Some of the dishes. One of the fry pans and the large clear pot make the stove make noises. Boiling water noises for the pot and sizzling noises for the pan.

More dishes that we have acquired
The food all together.
Fruits and veggies. There are a lot of Velcro ones so the kids can act as if they are really cutting them.

Here are some of the main course type food and there are some chips. The large pizza and one of the hamburgers are Velcro also.

Desserts. Some of the ice cream cones are Velcro so you can make a double scoop or triple and they stay together.
The toast in the toaster.
Canned food, box food and condiments as well as a shopping basket
All the little stuff together.
Let me know as soon as you can if you are interested or if you know someone who is.
Again I say, I have pics for a real post coming up. God bless!

Little People

Well, here it is. We were thinking about $40.00 for all of it. I know it is worth quite a bit new. All still in really great condition.
These pictures aren't great because I had to do them at night. This is everything together. Some of it is not Little People brand but is so close to the same that you would think it is.
The animals and the barn. Most of the animals are not actual Little People. They were from a Noah's ark set but are so similar that my kids always played with them all together.
The barn and horses. The sounds still work.
The prince and princess set. Very cute.
The playground set.
This is a circus train. The batteries are dying in it.
A Fire Truck.
The small bus , little truck and people are from the origional Little People from when I was a kid. Still in good shape.
Tricycle and bus with wheel chair access at the back, sounds still work.
So, there you have it. I am going to put it in the Northwest buy and sell in about a week if no one from here wants it so let me know soon if you do. Soon to come is the pics of the kitchen set and food/dishes.

Selling stuff

Well everyone, this is just a quick For Sale post. Our kids have this kitchen set. It is still in fabulous shape and has a bunch of fake food and dishes and pots and pans with it. The kids just are not using it any more. We had an old kitchen set and they used it all the time, then our basement flooded and six months later we got this one to replace the other 2 that we had. It was worth $300.00 new from Sears. So, we are hoping to get about $175.00 for it with all the extra food and dishes and stuff. If you are interested at all, let me know. Whatever we get for it, the kids want to put towards a swing set or something like that.

Also the kids are ready to get rid of their little people stuff, let me know if you are interested in that too. God bless!
I will try to do a real post soon that might actually have updates about family. Have a great night!
